TMK New Volunteer Form

TMK NEW VOLUNTEER FORM

Thank you for your interest in serving with The Mount Kids. We are always ready to welcome new servant-hearted volunteers to love our kids and point them to Jesus. We look forward to connecting with you to explore the best fit for you on our Ministry Team. There are lots of different roles and we are here to help you find the right one for you.

Our preference is that our volunteers are either members, are making their way to membership, or are regular attenders at The Mount. We can discuss this more during our one-on-one conversation.

Below is our volunteer onboarding process, each step must be complete prior to serving in a leadership position in The Mount Kids.

THE MOUNT KIDS VOLUNTEER ONBOARDING PROCESS:

Step 1:
Complete a background check. You will receive an email from Checkr, please click the link and fill out your personal information as soon as possible. Most background checks come back within 1-3 days, however, depending on the county, some take as long as 1 week.

Step 2:
Complete Ministry Safe Training. An email will be sent to you from Ministry Safe, this video training takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete (you are able to stop and start) following a quiz at the end of the training. You must pass the quiz to receive your certificate of completion.

Step 3:
Schedule and attend your one-on-one conversation with the Kids Ministry Lead. This conversation is designed to help you identify your best ministry fit, serve commitment, and any questions you may have based on the guidelines set forth by Ministry Safe. We will contact you to schedule this after you have completed steps 1 and 2. You will also receive an email from our team which will include a copy of The Mount Kids Covenant. We will have a copy for you to sign during this meeting.

Step 4:
The Mount Kids observation and classroom training through Ministry Grid. This is a set of short videos to help prepare you for volunteering in Kids Ministry. As well as, in the class hands on training with the Ministry Lead or a seasoned volunteer Lead.

Step 5:
Download the Planning Center App on your phone to receive scheduling requests. You will be able to enter block out dates for when you are unavailable as well as accepting the serve commitments that you are available for. You will also be able to access lesson plans to prepare in advance for teaching.

Please contact us with any questions you have regarding these steps or otherwise. We are so grateful the Lord has called you to serve in Kids Ministry. We are honored to serve with you, stewarding young hearts to the Lord.

Choose the Position(s) that apply:

Check any boxes that interest you.

Mark any you are willing to serve.

Committing to a season will allow us to have consistent volunteers, aside from sickness or emergencies. We are still very flexible if your life circumstances make it necessary to change. Most people sign up for a full year if possible. But this will also allow for you to take a break from serving for a time if needed.

If you are unable to provide these now, please have them ready to give at your One on One.

BY ACKNOWLEDGING AND SIGNING BELOW, I AM DELIVERING AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE THAT WILL HAVE THE SAME EFFECT AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE. THE ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE WILL BE EQUALLY AS BINDING AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE. You are saying you’re interested in serving as an Anchor in The Mount Student Ministry. And agreeing to undergo a background check and any additional training needed in order to safely serve our Students.
